In this special Welcome to HKU episode, international students at the conservatory and the Pastoefabriek talk openly about what they would have liked to know before arriving: the practical side of moving to Utrecht, finding housing, the cost of living, learning the language, and building a social life in a new city. They also share their favourite spots around town and where to meet people.
To close, we interview one of HKU’s coördinators for internationalization and portfolio holder for diversity, equity and inclusivity within internationalization about how the university helps you settle in and feel at home, from the welcome programme and buddy systems to the Dutch language courses, the coaches, and the internationalisation contact in each academy.
